Brief Outage

Our systems experienced a brief outage from approximately 9:11 PM to 9:15 PM EST tonight.  This outage was triggered by an error in the fail-over setup for our load balancing system.  We have been monitoring the systems since correcting the error and they are running normally again.

We will be thoroughly investigating what caused the error in the fail-over setup to occur and will take the necessary steps to prevent it from happening again in the future.

iTunes Outages

After receiving some reports of trouble with the iTunes store, we reached out to the iTunes team and learned that the iTunes store and some related services are having some outage issues this morning. This may result in the iTunes store stating the store is unavailable during subscriptions or other ‘clicks’ inside the store.

Some of our users have also reported issues with artwork sporadically not appearing, which we believe to be related.

As we learn more or discover the issue to be resolved, we will update this post. In the meantime, please know that iTunes is aware and working to resolve the issue as soon as possible.

UPDATE – 4:30 PM EST - According to Apple’s status page the iTunes outage should be over now:  https://www.apple.com/support/systemstatus/

Possible Delay in Releasing Posts

Some producers may notice a delay in episodes being released. The episode may appear as pending in your episode status.

The delays are caused by a higher than normal load in our back end, which causes items to release slower than normal. Releases will occur, but for some producers, it may take longer than normal.

Our administrators are aware of the situation and currently working to rectify the issue. We will post an update as soon as we have additional information, or the situation is rectified.

UPDATE: (3/3/2015 @ 11:15am) We believe the issue has now been rectified. Items that should have been released, which were delayed, are now released. If you still have trouble or any questions, please contact support@libsynsupport.com.

Player and MyLibsyn Issue

We’re currently investigating an issue preventing our HTML5 player and MyLibsyn logins from working correctly.  We’ll update this post when we have more details.

UPDATE 1:40 PM EST - This issue has now been resolved.  All Libsyn players are functioning normally again and logins to MyLibsyn (either through the website or mobile apps) are working again.  If you are still having issues with either one of those please contact support.

System Maintenance – January 27th, 2015

11AM EST – We have begun what should be a very short maintenance window, the Libsyn system is now in Maintenance Mode

UPDATE 11:10AM EST – The maintenance has been completed and the system is now out of Maintenance Mode and running normally
